Hello
It's so nice to meet you! We're Jared and Amanda Wyma-Bradley, founders of WB Dog Bed and Biscuit. We have been dogsitting for over 10 years. Amanda competes in AKC Competition Obedience and has taken lessons and courses from dog trainers and behaviorists on all things dog behavior. Originally from Seattle, Washington, we landed in the DC area in 2017 and have been operating our boarding business since 2021. We love getting to give dogs a relaxing home away from home where they can get out into nature, play with other dog friends, snuggle up on the couch with us, and learn new skills.
Our Story
For over 10 years, we provided dogsitting services through Rover.com where we have 55 5 star reviews, and achieved Rover's “Star Sitter" status. While initially we boarded dogs as a way to spend more time with animals since we had none of our own, all of that changed in 2019 when we brought home our first Samoyed, Georgia. Through Georgia's puppyhood, we worked with lots of trainers to learn how to best integrate a dog into our lives. We grew to appreciate that dogs thrive with structure and routine, dedicated time to rest, 1-1 training and coaching, and active time in nature. We strive to provide this to all our boarding clients when their owners are out of town so that upon their return the dogs are fulfilled mentally, physically, and have hopefully learned some new skills!
What makes us different?
Structure, safety, and experience.
We practice structured boarding, meaning your dog will be on a schedule and routine, helping eliminate stress and ensuring all their needs are met. Say goodbye to the unsupervised chaos of doggy daycare where an unvetted mix of dogs compete for resources, rank, and attention.
We are also extremely risk-averse and prioritize safety above all else (perfect for the sometimes-paranoid pet owner). This is why every dog is vetted, must be comfortable in a crate, and why we only take a couple dogs at a time.
We've been at this for more then a decade and continually do our best to improve our practices and sharpen our dog-handling skills through courses and classes.
